Prof. Univ. Dr. Mihaela TOMIȚĂ

Mihaela Alida TOMITA este profesor la Departamentul de Asistență Socială, Facultatea de Sociologie și Asistență Socială și director al Centrului Internațional pentru Cercetare Interdisciplinară în Domeniul Drepturilor Omului – ICIRHR din cadrul Universității de Vest din Timișoara, România. Activitatea sa profesională, academică și științifică este strâns legată de abordarea terapeutică și educațională a tinerilor delincvenți și a tinerilor cu tulburări de abuz de substanțe, militând și promovând strategii de intervenție și sancțiuni alternative în sistemul de justiție penală,  drepturile omulu și reziliențăi. Autoare și coautoare a mai multor cărți și articole în domeniu, coordonează și participă la proiecte de cercetare și intervenție cu fonduri bugetare și europene în domeniul protecției copilului, sistemului de probațiune, rezilienței victimelor și infractorilor etc. Este membră a Asociației Internaționale pentru Promovarea și Diseminarea Cercetării în Domeniul Rezilienței (RESILIO), a Asociației Europene a Școlilor de Asistență Socială (EASSW) și a Societății Europene de Criminologie (ESC).
